ALLOW me space in your public newspaper to air my complaints over the operations of the Zambia Postal Services Corporation (ZAMPOST) headquarters in Ndola.
I am an employee of this public company, and feel it is time the nation knew about the nepotism and unprofessional conduct of one of the senior directors, who, apart from promoting his old time schoolmate from the position of Kitwe area manager to director of human resources, has also employed his friend’s children.
Other issues are that some girls with connections to the bosses in the company are pegged on higher salaries than their colleagues who are in the same category and doing the same job.
As things stand now, those engaged in SIM registration haven’t been paid for the last two months while the company continues to sponsor sports and other activities as a way of showing Government that the situation is okay when in fact not.
At ZAMPOST, qualifications do not matter anymore as only those with connections or have relatives who know some bosses get promoted even when they don’t deserve it.
Can our government, which is allergic to corruption and nepotism, investigate the happenings at ZAMPOST before things get worse?
