Two year old missing

A man of Chipokoso village in Isoka has been picked by police to help with investigations following the disappearance of his twoyear-old stepdaughter.
Lucky Silomba, 48, is alleged to have been left home with the missing child by his wife, Falesi Nankamba, who had gone to fetch water and buy relish.
Muchinga Province police commanding officer Paul Achiume said Silomba has been picked to help with investigations after the girl disappeared last Thursday at Chipokoso village, which is under Chief Kafwimbi.
The girl’s biological father, Kennedy Siwila, reported the matter to police.
“The child’s mother left home and went to buy relish and to fetch water, leaving her daughter under the custody of her stepfather,” Mr Achiume explained. “However, when she returned home, she found her husband busy looking for the child.”
According to Mr Silomba, shortly after his wife left, he had also gone into the bush to collect firewood, leaving the child alone at home.
He said when he returned home after a few minutes, the child was nowhere to be seen.
Mr Silomba is said to have informed his wife, who in turn reported the matter to the girl’s father and eventually the police.
“Officers officially entered a report of a missing person and advised the family to continue with the search,” Mr Achiume said. “The stepfather to the missing child was picked and detained in custody to help with investigations.”https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
