MINISTER of Finance and National Planning Situmbeko Musokotwane says under the New Dawn administration, there is no question whatsoever of Zambia accumulating unsustainable debt, as the case was in the past.
To respond to some stakeholders who allege that the UPND-led Government is ‘also borrowing too much’, Dr Musokotwane said since assuming office slightly over two years ago, “I have never seen so much fiscal discipline”.
“The leakages have been sealed,” he said at the second Public Private Dialogue Forum (PPDF) Private Sector Day in Lusaka yesterday.
“The money now goes to making sure that children go to school, do roads. There is fiscal discipline, don’t worry. Under this Government, there is no question whatsoever of going to those unsustainable debts. It will not happen.”..https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
