OVER 5,000 litres of milk worth K45,000 is going to waste in Kalomo every day following the closure of a milk collection centre in the area due to anthrax.
According to Kalomo Dairy Cooperative, the centre was closed by the veterinary department following an outbreak of anthrax in the area.
Government recently issued a gazette, instructing milk producers to heighten bio-security measures at production
points.
