CENTRAL Province recorded about 50 New Year babies, with Mumbwa district noting the highest at 12.
The infants, 26 male and 23 female, were born yesterday between 00:01 hours and 07:00 hours.
Central Province medical officer Elijah Mutoloki says Kabwe and Kapiri Mposhi districts each highlighted eight deliveries, Chibombo five, Mkushi four while Chitambo and Ngabwe had three births, respectively.
Dr Mutoloki said all the babies are in good health.
At Kabwe Central Hospital, medical superintendent George Chipulu said by press time that the health facility had recorded three births.
Dr Chipulu said the babies and their mothers were enjoying good health.
In North-Western Province, 27 births were noted in various health facilities.
Acting provincial nursing officer Florence Mukoma said in an interview that as of 13:00 hours yesterday, the region had delivered 14 boys and 13 girls..https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/
