MINISTER of Health Sylvia Masebo has urged citizens to take suspected cholera patients to health facilities as soon as they notice symptoms because 50 percent of deaths are resulting from delayed treatment.
And Bata Zambia has donated 500 pairs of gumboots worth K80,000 to the Ministry of Health to be used by personnel on the front line in the fight against cholera.
Addressing families of patients admitted to National Heroes Stadium, which is a cholera centre, yesterday, Ms Masebo said most patients are only being rushed to hospitals when they are in their ‘final hours’, hence there is little that doctors can do to save them..https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
