Ndola, Kitwe, LivingstoneMORE than 10 bars and a restaurant in Ndola have been closed after a team of Ndola City Council (NCC) and Ministry of Health officials conducted an operation to check on sanitary conditions in the business premises.
Council public relations manager Rebecca Mushota said the local authority carried out an operation on Wednesday in which 12 bars and one restaurant in the central business district at Checha Complex and Masala Township were closed down.
Ms Mushota said the premises had no proper sanitary facilities, which can result in the outbreak of cholera, among other waterborne diseases.
