– Says he was a dignified son of Zambia
CHAMBWA MOONGA
Lusaka
PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has asked the family of late Lieutenant General Ronnie Shikapwasha to mourn him in peace, dignity and allow the legal process to take its course in dealing with circumstances surrounding his death.
The head of State says there should be no groups to converge and conspire to harm one another within the Shikapwasha family.
Lt Gen Shikapwasha, 76, died on Monday last week following a shooting incident at his Ibex Hill residence in Lusaka last Sunday.
His wife, Jane Lusengo Shikapwasha, 73, has since been charged with murder by police for allegedly killing her husband.
President Hichilema said:
“Let us mourn General Shikapwasha in dignity, despite our heavy hearts.”
