Council chairperson Shadrick Munjunga said the initiative is aimed at addressing the accommodation challenge faced by council officers in the district.
Mr Munjunga said in an interview that once completed, the project will also increase revenue base for the local authority as some houses will be rented out.
He said the local authority is committed to provision of quality services to the people, hence the need to come up with projects which will enhance the revenue base.
