FORMER national team coach Honour Janza has urged the Avram Grant-led Chipolopolo technical bench to identify a natural left-back ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers set for June.
And former international midfielder Jericho Shinde says the performance of the Chipolopolo has been below average because the current crop of players lack commitment exhibited by the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) winning squad.
Janza said in an interview on Tuesday that the left-back is the weakest link in defence.
Of late, Roderick Kabwe, a midfielder, has been converted into a left back.
Grant has also identified Zepheniah Phiri of Prison Leopards for that position.Phiri was selected for the AfCON.
On two occasions at the AfCON, skipper Lubambo Musonda was used as a leftback following the suspension of Kabwe..https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
