PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema yesterday hosted three former vice-presidents for lunch at State House, a day after playing host separately to veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga and the country’s first indigenous Zambia Army Commander Kingsley Chinkuli.
The former vice-presidents he met are Nevers Mumba, Enock Kavindele and Brigadier General Godfrey Miyanda while Guy Scott, Inonge Wina and General Malimba Masheke, who served as prime minister, were not feeling well.
President Hichilema later visited Dr Scott, who took over as President following the death of Michael Sata in 2014.
“[I] Just want to encourage you present leaders, former leaders, to remain leaders forever,” he said in his remarks. “So, continue performing those roles. Keep our country together, I deliberately say so,” he said….https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
