PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema caused ovation at the cholera treatment centre at National Heroes Stadium yesterday when he directed the Ministry of Health to ensure volunteers in the ongoing fight against the waterborne disease countrywide are given permanent jobs.
However, the recruitment should be done as and when vacancies arise and funds permitting.
Further, the head of State has warned of stern action against anyone who will attempt to doctor the list of volunteers.President Hichilema was at the cholera treatment centre and he undertook a close to an hour tour of the facility to see how patients are responding to treatment.
