THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has issued a bench warrant against former Road Transport and Safety Agency chief executive officer Zindaba Soko.
Lusaka magistrate Irene Wishimanga issued the arrest warrant after Soko absconded court in a matter he is jointly charged with others for allegedly forging a passport and national registration card (NRC) bearing a dead person’s name.
The case previously came up on February 9 this year for reading of facts in respect of one of Soko’s co-accused who pleaded guilty to the charge but the former was absent.
This prompted magistrate Wishimanga to issue a bench warrant which is retainable Friday this week.
