AFTER snapping its 75-day run of declines after the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) increased the statutory reserve ratio and significantly strengthening against the United States dollar this month, the Kwacha has been hailed as the best in the world.
Acting Minister of Information and Media Brenda Tambatamba says appreciation of the Kwacha against major currencies is a reflection of the efforts Government has put in place to strengthen the economy and promote sustainable growth and development.
Yesterday, the local currency was trading at K21.00 and K21.40 for buying and selling respectively.
