SOCCER fans in Solwezi vented their anger on Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) North-Western Province chairperson Authur Kamulosu and other officials over the poor state of Independence Stadium.
On January 20, 2022, Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu commissioned works to rehabilitate the stadium at a cost of US$300,000.
The facility is among five other stadia that were earmarked to be rehabilitated across the country with funding from the world soccer governing body FIFA.
