Sweden reaffirms support in gender equality, democracy, human rights

SWEDEN says it remains focused on supporting gender equality, democracy and promotion of human rights in Zambia because the two peoples share similar challenges.Swedish Ambassador to Zambia Johan Hallenborg says the two countries need to collaborate in the promotion of gender equality, women and girls’ rights.
Mr Hallenborg said this yesterday when he toured the Ndola Magistrates’ Court gender-based violence (GBV) fast-track division.
“We work with Zambia in the promotion of gender equality, women’s rights and girls’ rights, which is a frame of Swedish policy, in its foreign work and domestically,” he said.
