TWO-GOAL heroine Barbara Banda described last night’s six-goal thriller against Ghana in a 2024 Paris Olympic Games third round return leg as war.
Banda scored a last-minute screamer for Zambia to qualify
for the final round where Morocco or Tunisia await.
“It was war. It was blood. The game was tough but we did our best. The team trusted me to take that free-kick and they gave me the ball. I’m happy it went in and we have qualified,” Banda said in a post-match interview.
Ghana coach Nora Hauptle was disappointed with the result.
