Luanshya Council disburses K5 million

LUANSHYA Municipal Council has disbursed over K5 million as grants and loans to over 130 groups in Roan under the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Part of the funds are being used to finance business activities initiated by 40 youths, women and community empowerment loan applicants who have accessed K3,485,000.
The balance, amounting to K2,325,000, has been spent on 97 groups under the youth, women and community empowerment grants.
Speaking during the launch of the 2024 CDF loans and grants projects, Luanshya District Commissioner Oncemore Ngonomo urged beneficiaries to use the resources for the intended purposes.
