BANK of Zambia (BoZ) governor Denny Kalyalya says with increased use of financial services, scammers are on the rise, hence people need to be on the lookout.
And Government has launched the financial education supplementary book for students from grades One to 12 for them to be more financially literate.
Speaking during the launch of the 2024 financial literacy week under the theme ‘Protect your money, secure your future’ yesterday, Dr Kalyalya said limited financial literacy and awareness by the public has the potential to increase the risk of individuals falling victim to risks associated with using financial services.
“The commemorations of the financial literacy week, which runs from March 18 to 24, 2024, will include several activities around the country.
This year’s theme aligns well with the official theme of the global money week 2024, which has been adopted by the financial literacy week in Zambia.
