Musonda confirmed Daily Mail managing editor

ZAMBIA Daily Mail Limited board of directors has confirmed Emelda Libanga Musonda as managing editor and will deputise the managing director.
Company managing director Simate Simate confirmed the appointment in a staff memorandum yesterday.
“This serves to advise that the board of directors has approved the appointment of Mrs Emelda Libanga Musonda in the position of managing editor for Zambia Daily Mail Limited,” he said. “This appointment took effect on 18th March, 2024.
“The board of directors and management wish to congratulate Mrs Emelda Libanga Musonda on this very important and well-deserved appointment and wish her and the editorial team success as they continue to deliver on our editorial mandate.”
Zambia Daily Mail board chairperson Belly Dubeka, in a staff memorandum dated March 15, 2024, confirmed the appointment of Mr Simate as managing director.
Mr Dubeka said in addition to this role, Mr Simate will also provide oversight over the affairs of Times of Zambia.Zambia Union of Journalists (ZUJ) has welcomed both appointments.
“We are happy that Mrs Musonda has been confirmed in her position as ME.
