Recruits to start producing bananas – ZNS

TO HELP the nation cut down on banana imports, the Zambia National Service (ZNS) will use some of the over 600 Black Mamba recruit soldiers to undertake mass production of the fruit at the service’s newly-established Lisitu Centre in Chirundu district, Southern Province.
Part of the manpower will be deployed in road construction projects across the country to rehabilitate a wide range of township roads for easy movements.
ZNS Commander Maliti Solochi said this here yesterday at the pass-out parade of the all-male 665 Black Mamba military recruits intake 26/2023 at Chiwoko Training School.
