NATIONAL athletics team coach Douglas Kalembo is excited that the 4x400m men’s relay team qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The men’s relay team comprising Muzala Samukonga, Kennedy Luchembe, David Mulenga and Patrick Nyambe won gold at the just-ended African Games in Accra, Ghana, with 2:59:12 seconds.
The four runners set a new record for the African Games.
Samukonga, a 400m sprinter, sealed his Olympic Games ticket last month during the All-Comers Meet at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
