Shoprite buying more local goods

SHOPRITE Zambia says it is currently supporting 350 local enterprises that are supplying various products in its chain stores.
Company general manager Charles Bota said the companies are supplying the chain store with various seasonal fruits and vegetables, agro-processed foods, cleaning materials and groceries.
Mr Bota said the chain store has moved from being an import supplier dependant to a local supplier and agents’ dependant, with 90 percent of its products locally sourced.
