THE United Party for National Development (UPND) says following the debt restructuring and restored mining activities, young people should expect more employment opportunities due to increased investments in the economy.
Party chairperson for labour Godfrey Beene says it is indisputable that the UPND-led government, in the last two-andhalf years, has made tremendous progress regarding labour relations and creating jobs for all, especially the youth.
In a statement addressed to Zambian workers yesterday, Mr Beene wondered why some opposition politicians are opposing the coming on board of International Resources Holdings (IRH), the new investor in Mopani Copper Mines (MCM).
“My fellow workers, the question you should ask yourselves is; why are they opposed to fellow Zambians getting employed?
