PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says exports of agricultural produce should not be frowned upon as it is one of the ways of growing the economy.
And with the ramifications of climate change ruining Zambia’s agricultural output, President Hichilema says researchers need to step up efforts in developing droughtresistant crops to help the country meet its agricultural needs.
The President noted that currently, there is a global food deficit and Zambia should take advantage by producing excess so as to cater for exports.
