FAZ to face match fixing head-on

– Culprits will face consequences of their actions, says Kamanga

FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga says they will not relent in curbing match-fixing and cautioned administrators to stay clean.
Kamanga said yesterday when he officiated at the Zambian Premier League (ZPL) consultative meeting that FAZ will not drop the guard in its quest to curb match-fixing.
“I wish to implore all officials not to engage in match-fixing, which is a cancer to our game.
The consequences will be grave and we will not relent to ensure that those who are involved in match fixing face the consequences,” Kamanga said.
In February this year, FAZ suspended referees manager Aziph Banda over allegations of match-fixing.
Banda has since been replaced by Derrick Kafuli.
