– Tells them to resign before law catches up with them

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has advised individuals holding public office who have ‘long fingers’ and are in a habit of stealing public resources to resign before the law catches up with them.
And Mr Hichilema has warned traders, including UPND officials, who are selling Zambia National Service (ZNS) Eagles mealie meal at exorbitant prices that they will be arrested, adding that they are on their own.
The head of State said people holding public office, be it ministers, mayors, council chairpersons, or civil servants, should desist from stealing taxpayers’ money, which is meant to provide social amenities to citizens.
Mr Hichilema said public office-holders should distinguish what belongs to them from what belongs to the people.
“It doesn’t matter who you are! If you want to be on a collision path with me, you should get involved in theft and getting that which does not belong to you. I will not relent on this one and will do it head-on without fear or favour.” – https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/
