THIRTEEN days after beating leaders Zesco United 2-0, Red Arrows yesterday shockingly lost to Napsa Stars, leaving coach Chisi Mbewe blaming the wrong attitude of his players for the setback.
Ten-man Arrows dropped to ninth position with 11 points, level with Napsa, who are occupying the seventh slot.Zesco, who have 16 points, host Indeni today in a Ndola derby.
“I think we didn’t start well.
It was as though we had already won the game until when they [Napsa] scored; that is when we tried to come back into the game but it was too late,” Mbewe said in a post-match interview.Emmanuel Banda scored the solitary goal on 40 minutes with a cracker in front of national team coach Avram Grant.
Arrows were reduced to ten players after striker Angel Lubamba saw a straight red for a foul on Evans Kayombo in the 80th minute in this Super League Week Eight encounter.
It was Arrows’ second defeat in the top flight.
