HH urges women to help drive attitude change

PRESIDENT Haikainde Hichilema has challenged women in the country to take an active role in driving attitude change towards work among citizens.
The President has also emphasised the need to ensure boys are not left behind while advocating for the welfare of girls.President Hichilema said women should use their inherent influence to help promote increased productivity among citizens to enhance socio-economic development.
“Help us with promotion of productivity,” the President said when the gender machinery framework, a consortium of about 40 women groups, met him at State House yesterday.
“I asked for attitude change, work attitude drive by women because I know that women have influence on families.”
And in response to a presentation, the President said there is need to ensure boys are not neglected when addressing the welfare of girls.
“The boy child feels left out. If the boy child is not taken care of, serious crimes will start happening in the house,” he said.
