ACTING Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security Douglas Syakalima yesterday gave police 48 hours to apprehend two youths of Kitwe threatening violence against President Hakainde Hichilema on TikTok.
In the video, the two men are also calling for regime change through the use of machetes in 2026.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka yesterday, Mr Syakalima said the case in Kitwe was not an isolated one.
“Today we want now to put succinctly that, as Government now, we are not going to allow this to continue,” he said. “The law is there, the Cyber Security and Cybercrimes Act of 2021.”
