POLICE have submitted in court that investigations revealed that the practising Muslim Zambian who sued the State after she was asked to remove her hijab in detention has actually been exposing her hair.
Priscilla Mukosa, an officer at Lusaka Central Police, has submitted that a check on Rizicky Fatacky’s Facebook profile shows that she had been exposing her hair, contrary to Islamic beliefs.
“Thorough investigations indicate that the petitioner does not comply [with] the Islamic beliefs as per her social media profile,” Ms Mukosa submitted in the High Court.
“It is, therefore, our submission that the petitioner’s hair is exposed on a public platform and any man can have access to her profile.”
