PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema yesterday called for speedy execution of all proposed projects signed with PowerChina International
Group on energy, agriculture and water security. The head of State bemoaned the slow pace at which some processes have moved from his last China trip, prompting PowerChina to request for a meeting in Lusaka.
“We don’t have time to lose, colleagues. We need to work with sense of agency,” President Hichilema said.
Some of the projects in point are the Chisamba solar project, the diversion of water from Luapula River into Kafue to enrich the Kafue River basin, development of two farms in Mumbwa and Mkushi in Central Province, and the rooftop solar projects.
