ZAMBIA Boxing Federation (ZBF) life member Terence Musuku has called on the newly-elected executive led by Boniface Sokoni to utilise his vast knowledge to steer the sport to higher heights.
In an interview yesterday, Musuku, a former boxer, said he believes his expertise would be invaluable to the new executive.
He is willing to share his knowledge especially when it comes to attracting sponsorship.Musuku said boxing should, like football, start attracting big sponsors.
He said ZBF should start partnering with companies like First Quantum Minerals and Trade Kings Group, among others.
Sokoni emerged victorious in Saturday’s elections, defeating Mashekwa Nalumango by 25 votes to 19.
Other members of the executive include vice-president James Kapansa, general secretary Gift Banda, deputy general secretary Humphrey Kasosolwa and treasurer Godfrey Chikampa.
