ZNS advised to use road equipment bought under CDF

THE Zambia National Service (ZNS) has been advised to consider using road equipment bought under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to undertake infrastructural works in some areas.
Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary Norman Chipakupaku says the initiative will help ZNS reduce on equipment and transportation costs.
Speaking on Friday after inspecting works on the construction of the nine kilometres detour (diversion) on the Great East Road in Rufunsa district following the partial collapse of the Mambwe Bridge, Mr Chipakupaku said Government is proud of the quality works done by ZNS.
“Let’s expedite the works on the detour so that we do not disturb the economic activities. We have noticed that each constituency is buying equipment using CDF money, and the best we can do is to utilise that equipment because we are one Government,” he said…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
