COPPERBELT University (CBU) management has submitted a proposal to Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) to help it finance the building of a level-two hospital at the higher learning institution.
The university wants to build a big hospital in response to the high demand for medical services at the institution’s clinic.
And students at the university have been challenged to work together in finding ways of improving infrastructure at the facility.
CBU vice-chancellor Imasiku Nyambe said the proposal to have CEEC finance the level-two hospital was submitted last week.
Professor Nyambe is hopeful that the plan will be accepted to enable the university to possess a bigger health facility to cater for the over 17,000 student population.
He said this during the handover of assorted medical equipment to the institution’s clinic by the Copperbelt University Medical Trust Limited (CBUMT).
The equipment includes a scale, a blood pressure machine, a wheelchair and furniture…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
