COPPER Queens skipper Barbara Banda and her deputy Grace Chanda have cautioned the under-17 women national team against looking down on Tanzania when they clash in the Dominican Republic 2024 FIFA World Cup second round return leg in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.
And Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has said the 5-0 win is behind and the young Copper Queens still have 90 minutes to finish off the job.
Banda told the players that they should not lose focus because of the 5-0 win as the journey to the World Cup is long.
“This win is good but continue working hard. You have to be focused and keep on improving in your careers,” she said. “If you continue working hard, you will become stars and you will change your lives and those of your families.”
Banda said she picked a lot of lessons from the Costa Rica 2014 Under-17 World Cup.
“We also played in these qualifiers and we managed to qualify for the World Cup. If you qualify you will not be the same afterwards,” she said…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
