AFTER levelling up to the World Health Organisation (WHO) benchmark of 70 percent drugs at its central warehouse in Lusaka, Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) is now targeting reaching 80 percent medical stock availability in all the public health facilities in the country.ZAMMSA director-general
Victor Nyasulu says there is a sustained supply of medicines and medical supplies across the country and the situation can only get better.
“People should expect only the situation to get better and better,” he said on Phoenix FM’s breakfast show yesterday.
“We have maintained a regular flow of health centre kits. We just, in fact, advertised and closed a tender for further supply of health centre kits because we don’t want to drop the ball in that space.
“Our target is to reach 80 percent stock availability in all the public health facilities of Zambia. At the moment, we have hit 70 percent as of Friday last week.”…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/
