COACH Andrea Cristoforetti says beating Ghana in the opening game at the Morocco Futsal Africa Cup of Nations has given Zambia confidence ahead of today’s Group A match against Angola.
And Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is excited with dominance of Zambian players on the list of nominees for the inaugural Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) awards.
Zambia made a dream start beating Ghana 5-2 on Thursday night.
Patrick Banda, Francis Chinyama, Wiseman Phiri, Mbalika Mwaliteta and Jack Simwami scored a goal each.Ghana scored through Philip Boye and Emmanuel Pako.
Despite a comfortable win, Cristoforetti said the players made some mistakes and need to improve going forward.
“For most of my players it was the first at the international competition, so I was expecting a little bit aspect of emotions to be involved,” he said.
“The truth is we created a lot of chances and we didn’t finalise them in the final stages and that is not acceptable at international competitions. It is good that we won.”…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
