AS THE country commemorates the 31st anniversary of the Gabon air crash on Sunday, Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has urged the current crop of players to emulate the dedication and passion the fallen heroes had for the game.
Kamanga said in his weekly column yesterday that the Gabon memorial is a perfect opportunity to reflect how far Zambian football has come.
He said the Gabon disaster remains the darkest spot in the history of the game but always remains one of the greatest inspirations for the country as it galvanises the nation to show a sense of unity.
