GOVERNMENT has disbursed K4.3 million to 245 beneficiaries of student bursaries in Chama North and Chama South constituencies.
Eastern Province Minister Peter Phiri says K2.1 million was given out in Chama North while K2.2 million was distributed in Chama South constituency.
Mr Phiri said under empowerment grants, Government disbursed K2.2 million to 100 beneficiaries in Chama North constituency while K2.3 million was disbursed to 59 beneficiaries in Chama South.
He was speaking during the Kwenje traditional ceremony of the Senga of Chama district on Saturday.
Mr Phiri said the New Dawn administration is committed to delivering its developmental agenda as demonstrated by the increase in CDF.
