ZAMBIA Development Agency (ZDA) says out of the US$13.80 million in deals secured during last year’s trade mission to Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), US$6 million worth of deals have been actualised.
The agency has since embarked on another trade venture to DRC with a delegation of 40 companies.
This is according to a statement issued here by ZDA’s head of communications and public relations, Kwali Mfuni.
A delegation of Zambian businesses will travel to DRC’s Haut-Katanga Province in Lubumbashi for the trade mission, scheduled for October 16 to October 18.
The primary goal of this trade mission is to enhance Zambia’s non-traditional exports (NTEs) and secure market access for Zambian products. The agency aims to penetrate, consolidate, and expand the Congolese market for these goods.
The mission will include an opening session with participation from the Congolese government and industry stakeholders, followed by exhibitions and business-to-business meetings with buyers from DRC, organised through a well-coordinated match-making process tailored to the companies’ profiles.
