THE ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) has welcomed the just released Afrobarometer report that ranks Zambia as the highest among African countries in efforts aimed at improving people’s living standards and reducing poverty-
“The report qualifies our long-held position that Zambia under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema is on course with its people-centred development agenda.
UPND deputy media director Cheelo Katambo said the report, which covers the period between 2021 and 2023 and covers a total of 39 African countries giving Zambia the highest score at 54 percent followed by Tanzania at 51 percent, has not been achieved by chance but serious planning in line with the party’s manifesto…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/
