A SCENES of crime expert has narrated how she found 28 naked and half-nude partially bruised bodies of Ethiopian men, believed to have been trafficked, dumped at a farm outside Lusaka.
This is in a case three Zambians are accused of trafficking 28 unidentified Ethiopians who were discovered dead in Ngwerere in December 2022.
Bertha Kalituta, 48, testified that some of the bodies had swellings on their faces and bruises which looked like burns.
“At the scene, I noticed dead bodies on the road, seemingly dumped from a big vehicle as the tyre marks were seen,” Ms Kalituta, a detective inspector, told Judge Pixie Yangailo.
Investigations into the case led to the arrest of Jairos Njobvu, Stephen Sitali and Pethius Mayembe, who were charged with 29 counts of prohibition of trafficking in persons.
The accused have denied the charges and the State has so far called eight witnesses…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/
