Commends residents for overwhelming support, peaceful poll

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has commended the people of Kawambwa constituency for their overwhelming support to United Party for National Development (UPND) candidate Nason Musonda, who has made history as the party’s first UPND Member of Parliament from Luapula.
President Hichilema also commended the people of Kawambwa, Kawana ward and Lilondo ward for their peaceful conduct during the just-ended by-elections.
The head of State said the peaceful by-elections underscore Zambia’s unwavering commitment to democracy as enshrined in the Zambian constitution.
