‘Parley no battleground’

HOUSE of Chiefs says Members of Parliament (MPs) should not use Parliament as a battleground for settling political differences.
In light of recent developments where some opposition law-makers put up a show of defiance in the House, House of Chiefs chairperson Chief Chisunka says political differences in a democracy should not lead to destruction of society.
Chief Chisunka, of the Ushi in Mansa, said in an interview that it is concerning to traditional leaders that some MPs, using the House, are planting political animosity in the mind of citizens.
