DRUG Enforcement Commission (DEC) has launched three surveillance boats to help effectively combat organised criminal activities on water-bodies.
The boats, which were launched in Siavonga yesterday, will operate on Lake Kariba, Zambezi River in Mongu and the northern circuit water-bodies that include lakes Tanganyika, Bangweulu and Mweru.
DEC director-general Nason Banda says Zambia shares water-bodies with some of its neighbouring countries which in most cases are not patrolled.
