MILLERS Association of Zambia (MAZ) president Andrew Chintala says mealie meal prices have started reducing since the association introduced the band sale, with prices now ranging between K247 and K275.
A check at one of the retail supermarkets confirmed that mealie meal prices have reduced, with a 25-kilogramme bag of Star Milling breakfast going at 274.99, while the same quantity of roller meal produced by Africa Milling is fetching K219.99.
The cheapest is the Eagle brand produced by Zambia National Service, with a 25kg bag of roller meal going at K189.
