ZAMBIA Sugar Plc country managing director Oswald Magwenzi says the illegally imported, unfortified sugar is negatively effecting the country’s economy.
Mr Magwenzi said if the situation is left unchecked, it is most likely to rob the country of the much desired jobs opportunities and income for the national treasury.
He, however, said that his company continues to work with the relevant institutions to help address the inflow of illegal imports.
