CHINA Non-ferrous Metal Mining Group (CNMC) has started actualising its US$1.3 billion pledged investment.
Deputy Secretary to Cabinet for finance and economic development, Siazongo Siakalenge, said during his recent state visit to China, President Hakainde Hichimema and President of China Xi Jinping agreed on specific issues and one of them was on the need for CNMC to invest in Zambia in the next five years.
During his tour of Chambishi Multi-Facility Economic Zone, it was revealed that CNMC had already started actualising its investment pledge.
Mr Siakalenge said the group has started building bonded warehouses valued at US$4 million in the economic zone.
